Technical glitches (misused apostrophes, misspelled words, etc.) sprinkled throughout this story hardly make a blip on the radar. This story was really good. It had me laughing aloud at the realism portrayed between Link and Grace, the gastrointestinal upset scene will linger for awhile and make me giggle every time it crosses my mind. The authors took a chance on such gritty realism and executed it well. It works. Link is an obnoxious brat at the beginning and I didn't like him at all, but I kept reading and he improved greatly. Grace started off as a bit of a doormat, but grew into her own quickly. Read this one; you'll be glad you did.
I'm not very good in writing reviews. So I'll just say I LOVED this series. There is nothing to change or fix to make it better. I WILL recommend this series to everyone I know. Thank you for writing such an awesome series. I can't wait for the next group.
Omg, this book was just a phenomenon to read with its thrills, intrigue, and sexual chemistry! The deep emotional struggles and physical challenges they experienced had me falling so madly in love with them. This is my first time reading these authors, but I can garantee it won't be my last! Be prepared to be draw in with the amazing story telling of these authors! I will be sharing with my reading circle! A very must read! This is the series to be reading right now! I'm a fan for life!!!
This book was great! Link Duffy and Grace Johnson will make you laugh, cry, and hold your breath to see if they survive. This was a great read with a happy ending. I could not put it down, i wanted more and more, Grace has a loss that almost kills her, she divorced her husband and decided to travel the world, when she runs into Lincoln Duffy (Sargent Lincoln Duffy) who is broken in so many ways, he needed her and she needed him as well. They have a crazy ride with bullets flying and bad men trying to kill them, this book will keep you wondering what will happen next. I will recommend this book to friends, I gave it 5 stars because you can't give 10 stars it is a 10 star book. It's sexy, rugged, and tender. Your going to love it.
I'll have to admit, I found I had to force myself to stick with it during the beginning of the prequel but I was very glad I stuck it out.
This is not a book, or rather a series of books for anyone offended by hot sex--and lots of it. But the characters' overactive sex drive is balanced out nicely by heart pounding action and characters the reader can come to really care about.
The use of military style weapons, techniques and strategizing lends credibility to Link's background as well as the actions he takes keeping both him and Grace alive.
I like the way these characters grew through the books, overcoming both individual obstacles and those due to their situation. This growth is not restricted to the main characters, you see it even in the lesser characters such as Link's family...something that is often overlooked by authors who focus solely on the main characters.
I usually don't likke books that have a lot of sex and stuff, but I got this and wow...loved it!! This series could stand alone without the hot sex and all that stuff. You are so drawn into the story that it's hard to put down. So many things are happening. As I said before, this book could easily stand on its own and be a winner without the sex...I am very glad I found it and read it. Awesome job!!!
I have been reading Leslie Johnson's books for awhile now, and this is my favorite so far. You feel for Link throughout the story. He may have been a spoiled rich boy, but he never deserved what happened to him, but he took it and made something better of himself. Grace at first I thought was going to be one of those weak women that always needs rescuing, but she also had a bad twist of fate and overcame everything to become a stronger person. And then they met and the fireworks began. I am glad I waited to get the whole series--I would have been crazy waiting in between each one. Link's mother was a real piece of work, but she almost redeems herself in the end--not completely, but much better than insulting Grace. The supporting characters were all wonderful as well. I will have to read Tate's stories next and see how Cam and he work out or not.
